Return of the blogger

Season's greetings to you all.

I'm still in fair old southampton. I'm working every day from now till christmas eve. Now the nice thing is that my flats virtually empty. Out of the ten of us there is only me and ashley left, and we both head out on christmas eve. The same is true for most other people. It's a nice atmosphere as a result. As a result we spend a lot of time in other flats, hang out, and winding down, after serving the fair public of hampshire.
Now the big news of the year is that i'm changing course, thats right, halt any crimes, as i won't be able to defend you! Instead i'm going to do "Internet Application development" with will allow me to do cool "AJAX"(Asyncronous Javascript and XML), like gmail and such. Why the change i hear you scream, well law is hard, not impossible but hard. Unfortunately i don't believe i'm passionate about the subject, or at least not enough to get a 2/1.
However there is one problem, my course doesn't start till september, so i'm gonna try and sort something out, and might possibly end up moving out of halls for 8 months, do the whole holding down a job thing, and then restart next year.
As of yet, i don't think i'm moving home, or at least i don't want to, as i would have to give up my job, which i a, like; & b, will need next year.
Well how about that oil depot, and nothing happens in hemel...
Finally i'll try and see as many of you as i can when i get back, i might only be around for a week as i need to get back down here and look for somewhere to live, but in honesty i kinda miss you all and because i'm a cheapskate, i never call, have you seen pay as you go charges!.

Merry christmas everyone, and i'll see you soon-ish

Christmas, what's that?

It's an update the young warriors cried as they reached the peak of the mountain upon which they looked down at the deep, dark valley filled with assignments the cries and worries of 16 generations of...

Sorry I got excited for a second there. I just finished my Constitutional Law Assignment, which has like 20+ quotes from actual government legislation. Sounds like fun, don't you agree? Anyway I have to hand it in later today, plus I got another one to do for next week.

Just to update one and all I'll make my return to the "hood" on Christmas Eve, as I have to work so I can have two weeks off, after 4 months of almost constant work, life is one big balance I like to think.

But as I'll be virtually minted, able to spend time with my family, it will be nice. I have to go now To order my Nvidia 6800 Graphics Card to sort myself out for the day.

For yet another day/week/month take care everyone

Free Time; a funny concept

Free time for me, no longer exists. I now work (either my job or uni) 7 days a week. No breaks, no nothing. Busy i am.
Tired i am too, but hey, thats life. I like money, and i like knowledge, so i'm getting what i asked for, 4 assignments too, it's all a bit crazy really.

As i'm mentally knackered, i'm not gonna write much, i gotta save that for my essay. I don't know when i'll update again, but if you ever want to contact me quickly email me @

verisys AT bluebottle.com

The email's go straight to my T|X handheld, so i'll read it on my uni/work/ off a bridge etc.

Ever wanted to take over the world?

This one is for all the ladies out there, after intense research(seriously) i have found the "tool(s)" to take over and control the world, or at least manipulate it, or at least about 47% of it anyway. If anyone know's Saddam personally, e-mail him the link please

Step 1.
Get some half naked ladies and put them up on a stage.

Step 2.
Place a paddling pool in front of them, filled with a greasy substance of your choice.

Step 3.
Get all the intelligent, able body males, and place them in close proximity to the subjects from steps 2 and 3.

Step 4.
Instruct the women to enter the pool and "play fight"

Step 5.
Execute world domination plans, in relative calm.

Before i continue i would like to state i wasn't at the night in question ^_^, however it nice to see that humans can be so easily manipulated, oh excuse me, must dash, my empty bed's calling.

"RCP week" aka Reading week

What a load of crap that was.
I thought the idea was to read, not be driven to exuastion though, sheer mounds of work.
Well it's over now, the blog is suffering, but hey that working life. so i'll give you the brief.
  • I invited Nabil (i have no idea how it's spelt, but It's pronounced na-bile)out, but she was ill, so that died a quick death
  • I handed in my first assignment
  • I admitted i got a thing for salma hayek and Penelope Cruz.
  • I'm getting a tv card, for free from one of my mates
  • I can do some extreme wardriving on my T|X
  • I might come back to good old hemel Hempstead, for the presentation evening
  • DC++ is the best program ever made
  • And higher hacks is a great website

Well that about rounds up the week

Maybe another post over the weekend, who knows

Meet my mates (well some of them)

Well i after yesterday's quick update i just discovered that, i had kind of left people in the dark as to what i've done in the last weekcouple days. Well lots of things. I went to the club on Monday, like normal.... Me and Fuad{Pronounced ford, or thats what we call him at least}(a fellow law student) went to another flat, in the "Almond" block, here at lovely Lucia Foster. Where we stayed for 3 hours (bear in mind that it was 2am when we started ) chatting to a girl, who i can only remember as "H", and another girl called niki, that Fuad knew. Anyway thanks to this great site called Don't stay in, i was able to get a photo, of him(fuad) and some other people that i socialize with.

In fact that site is great, i found of a picture of myself, which i thought i had been careful to avoid, damn those druken camera men. Anyways, the pictures, meet the lads.

You can't really see it in this picture, but with his hat off fuad looks like John Legend. Unless you haven't worked it out, the guy on the right is Fuad, and on the left is my Flat mate Bill, who does Sports development(i think). I have no idea who the woman is.

Ok the guy on the left is Imran (i think that's how you spell it) he's doing business, the guy in the middle is one of the promoters for Bambuubar or Bambu as we like to call it, again we have fuad.

See the guy that looks like a zombie? In the bottom left, well he's not a zombie, hes actually Ashley, another one of my flat mates. Nice guy too, gonna give a nice hair cut, tomorrow and sort out this mess that is my headhair.

See the tall black guy at the back, thats Gadget aka William, he's a MC (thats a rapper for you lesser folk) and is known on the "streets" as Gadget Boi, i actually have his complete album on my pc, it's not bad. It's called "Gadgets hideout vol 1" my favourite part is the hoes skit, where .... Imran is also in this picture

Anyway the one you've all been waiting for...

The guy i'm pointing at is "Or-Re" i don't know how you actually spell his name :(, i know the other two guys in front of him, but i don't know their names, we communicate though signs, and "cuz".

Now if your like me your thinking you need a life why don't you find a picture of "N" to show us how good your taste is, well i would love to, but there are alot of clubs in town, so it might take me a fair old while, but if and when i do i'll put it up. Check out that don't stay in site, they got pictures of everywhere including good ol' Hemel Hempstead.

Till another day, later folks, and no i had too much work to do tonight, so nothing happened, ^_^

Broken in the best, fixed in the rest

Evening, i finally fixed the site, unfortunately it's now broken in the best browser to grace the web :(, firefox. I might even just change the whole thing now that my photoshop skills are getting so good. Higher hacks has published the second article on hiding your bit-torrent traffic, it was written by new mate josh, who lives over in the states.

Apart from that site repair, just know that i am very busy, and tired. The later might have something todo with that 5am stint, i did on monday ^_^ memories...

If we all remember that "girl" i spoke of like two weeks ago, well i her number, twice, it's a long story. Anyways i don't know what to do with it, i'm sort of low on funds, but i thing i might see if she wants to go to this place called the "orange rooms" which is like a jazzy kinda hang out place, you know what i mean. There's an event happening there on thursday so if i can clear my calender, i'll try and make it happen. But i'm in no rush, i got work coming out of my ears, degree related and personal. No Job, but you guys know how the mind of jon works (well sort of).

T|X is great, so great i thought about sending it back, cause it had too many features. This scanning for wifi hotspots is getting serious now.

Finally tonight in great student fashion, i'm gonna eat toast and watch a movie, in the last couple days i've consumed about 20 hours worth of Sopranos, that show is the best. Sadly i've never even watch the godfather, or goodfella's but this like all of them times 2.

Whoa, i'm busy

Yellow people, this having a life stuff is hard work. i've been quite busy. Helping my new mate, turned rapper mc "Gadget Boi" get himself and his ablum out there. I finally ordered my T|X, it comes tomorrow. Higher Hack's goes live today, if i'm honest i still haven't finished the first piece, it just needs a few screenshots to be complete. I have to do some washing. I got to prepare for tomorrow's lectures, plus a need to start on my seminar tasks. Fun all round, nothing like being a busy guy. In the mean time, i need to be creative for my employers Sudhian, plus for higher hacks, and play need for speed underground, and tell people how to get around tv liesensing laws.

I just finished apply chrome to my rides, so i need to get on with some work, when i get my T|X i'll upload some of those photo's on my phone, i got one of a SLR yesterday! So as i've wasted the morining i need to make my evening more productive to say the least, i think i'll leave the washing till tomorrow, wash and play with my T|X, sounds nice, i wonder if they have netstumbler for palm....

Anyway i got work to get on with, later folks

Jon's a writer!

My first article got published today! You can see it here, It's called "Breathing life back into Socket A". If you know nothing about computers, don't bother to try reading, you'll feel more confused. Anyway, thus far its getting good feed back, which makes me feel good.

I haven't posted that much this week, cause i've been busy getting "my legal" on. this course requires sick amounts of reading, and if i want to make worth my while i gotta read, a lot. I'm talking 10 pages at least per seminar, and these people haven't heard of fonts larger than 10! Hugh amounts of information, and dates to consume, like the Police Criminal Evidence Act 1984(revised 1992 according to jonathan 2 of 3). Anyway it's tough to stay with the class, mainly cause i allowed myself to fall behind slightly, either way Uni is no joy ride unless your doing a "mickey mouse" course, sa my grandfather would have called it.

By the end of next week(hopefully long before then) i should finally have my T|X, and should be able to put my faithful clie to rest. But wifi calleth.

This weekend, i got more washing to too, a couple of trips to the library, a trip to John Lewis(hopefully to drop three figures on a T|X :)). And thats about it, but right now i'm so tired it's hard to even get excited, i got some weird pics to post, so i'll do that another day, i'm gonna scan though my warez collection and watch some movies, later

Apparently it rains a lot in Southampton

A whole lot, I got soaked right though, in fact my coats so wet it's in the shower, in fact better go get before the milk thief gets it. Actually I literary just checked it, it's still wet.

Enough damp. Higher Hak's is coming on nicely, still no content yet, but with the stuff I'm doing on a daily basis it won't be like that for long. I came up with a fairly clever way of designing sites from the ground up, so I'm gonna try and apply it here to see if it actually changes anything, and stops the posts from ending up halfway down the page, annoying don't you think.

Well still no sign of the big fat check from Tony, which is nice cause I'll be starving this time into two weeks, This statement was sponsored by the British Labour party.

tomorrows my big day off, however as I've been hearing the best way to get though a degree (when it's full time at least) is to treat it like a job. Therefore a 9-5 affair, which makes a lot of sense, cause what are we gonna do when we leave? So tomorrow I'm gonna try and get all my work for the week done, you gotta take this investment thing seriously.

I might however break this up by indulging in some "techie porn", or at least that's what Adam calls it. He dropped like four thousand us dollars on a laptop, a desktop and a Video Ipod, but hey if you got the cash, why not. It compares the process of getting a new computers, to porn. It's the smell according to him, I think it's more like going to grandmothers for Christmas, there's loads of cake, and you can't eat it all, but your gonna do your damnest. Then after eating to excess you go to bed 2am cuddling you new device....
Where was I, yeah hopefully I'll get my T|X this week, if you knew the pain that my once glorious Clio has become you would understand why I'm looking forward to this so much, not to mention portable wifi, now if only I could get Bit-torrent for palm os...
Plus I just thought, who wants to get together and donate cash so I can but a 12" powerbook, it's only a grand, if each of you give a hundred quid I'll have it in no time

Oh, though it's not like me, using your various "sources" check out this song by Freeway called "You got me" featuring none other than the diva that is Mariah Carey. Good track, in my humble opinion.

What ever happened to the whole date thing? Well I haven't since the person in question, but I assure you all in typical Jon fashion I good lists of witty remarks that will get me slapped in the face that are bound to sweep her off her feet.

Oh yeah, and I actually implement that design over on Higher hak's so check it out and tell me what you think, I know it's broke, work with me here people.

Anyway until another day take care, and enjoy life, look after each other by sharing music via p2p, and come back tomorrow!

Jon's gone l33t haxor

So i'm sitting there, thinking i wanna use Bit-torrent. then the idea hits me, i'm not the only person in the world who likes downloading legal content via bit torrent.
so i created "Higher Hacks", in like four hours. Higher Hacks is a website slaved to exploiting holes, in school, college, and university networks.

You can visit what is basically the shell, of the site here, and don't forget to tell your friends, Plus we are hiring so if anyone wants to write feel free to try out, but i won't practice any favouritism, after all if your not l33t, you just aren't good enough to be among the haxor's.

Anyway it's not a plan to take over the world just my attempt to get some p2p action happening =)

Oh here's what the site should look like when i've finished designing/making it.

Nice don't you think? i might change the colour to a more greeny kinda a colour but the blue was kinda of premade, so i took it, plus i like blue.

In other news i went to bed at 5 am this morning, cause i'm we had a party on our floor, you know how it is.

So finally don't forget

It's not so sunny any more

Right it rained yesterday after i had done my weekly shop, and i mean it really rained, hail, wind the whole shabang. Anyways while my shopping got wet, i could rest assured at my world class budgeting skills...

I might not have mentioned it in the past, but since i've been here the fire alarm has gone off at least four times. All of these times have been in the early morning, around 2am, or 3am in the case of today. Now this alarm isn't quiet by any stretch of the imagination, it will wake you up, unless you've smoked, and drunk your way into your bed in the first place. This thing is serious. Anyway its always a joy to watch those people who where either in the shower, sleep naked, or do other "things", pile up outside the main entrance to the block in towels and such with a look on their face that could strip paint from walls. The worse bit is that by the time you get to the ground floor and get outside it stops and you don't even get a chance to socialize.

In other news i didn't see "n" on tuesday, however i did see her yesterday, but she was busy at the time so i had to leave it. theres always another day, time, place. So no news on that front.

Anyway after panicing about some work i thought i had to have done for today, it turns out that the lecture is tomorrow, which is a nice thing, just means i got to crank it out tonight, the wonderfully organized uni student that i am.

Anyway thanks for all the be yourself advice (i watch TV too you know), i'll check with you all another day.

Quote of the Day
A "Shall we set off the fire alarm"
me "Isn't that the wrong way to get back at the people that just set it off"
B "i think we should do it, i 'll cover the camera, and you hold a lighter under the detector"
me "this is how it starts"

Doing the exact same thing someone else did to you isn't exactly what i would call revenge

For old times sake

i wonder which ones jon? It's the crew people, now seperated. funny thing is pretty much everyone on the left side of that photo has gone to uni. Ah, the days, do you remember that time, that... Never mind.

Anyways i ate a pack of haribo and i got gas, so thats what i'm upto. I spoke to chris today who sent me that picture so now i got something to mark your faces with to remember you all by. He also sent me a picture of me and him in a comprimising position and a picture of the once highly desired clare. Which i won't post cause i respect her, however i did send her a non drunken text asking her, why she shun'd my advances, i'm still awaiting a reply. Personally i don't think i'll ever get one, but i was pondering why it never worked it's not like i'm ugly.

In other non-clare related news i got these free cinema tickets, which i've ear marked for another lady, she does business with something or another, and i think her name starts with an N, i'm not being shady but i don't know her name. Anyway in my book i think shes nice. Now it's not normally my style to be "advancing" so quickly but as is my unstanding in street speak "Gash is limited" which basically means if i don't do something soon, there won't be another chance to do anything.

If you gotta any "normal" style dating tips feel free to drop them in the comments although i'm smoother than butter on a summer's afternoon, everyone needs a hand every now and then, and leave out the "be yourself" crap, the girl doesn't want to know how to optimize a socket A system, by tweaking the CAS latecy timings and upping the front side bus speed.

Before i go, found this in my archives, it's a list of all of my best memories from the ACS years, enjoy.

Right i'm off to bed gotta be up for 11am tomorrow for Legal Contexts,

Mens rea and all that...

You can call me 1 of 3...

Привет, (That's hello in Russian, don't ask me how the hell you say it) Though virtue of being one of the louder members in my class I got the duty of being the classes union rep. First action proposed by my 6'8 counter part, Jonathan, was to go on strike. Yes there's another Jonathan, but hold the press, in fact there's 3 of us in my seminar group alone, and about 5 in the entire course. I'm popular with mum's and dad's around South Africa and Isle of Wight the world. It's so weird having to call out my own name, to address two different people, who also share the same initials, beat that.

I hate a whole medium pizza from domino tonight, so I'm certainly not starving tonight, infact I'm stuffed. Makes me think about the homeless people outside, their quite friendly. My plan is, when I get a job I'll spend a bit of time with them, Depending on where I work, I might hook them up with the days left overs, must be hard living on the streets, we should always remember to appreciate the fact the we got roofs over our heads, Food and most importantly for me an internet connection.

I'm still here crying about when my loan will come though so I can buy my T|X Wifi enabled PDA books for class. I give the nice friendly people over there a call on Monday and try and get it sorted, or at least find out how much longer I will have to wait.

As for me this weekend I have to get my washing done, unlike most people I'm not gonna do the classical thing of dragging back to Hertfordshire, that's more expensive then it's worth. (@ £30-40 appox. round trip) Then i am gonna go to asda and do my shopping for the week then stab myself for turning into a grown up responsible loser, afterwich i might watch Snatch, never seen it from start to finish.
Also gonna do some homework, this course is hard, so this crap has gotta be done or else, i've already been threatened with being asked to leave the class cause i did the wrong assignment by accident, so the good time charlie crap has gotta stop now, and i never even got to taste those hash cookies.

Sunday is search for a church and library day, i've start that as a new habit, go to the library on a sunday afternoon, nice and quiet. I'll look at some cases and dream of how i can afford that Ferrari 575 thats in the parking lot that my room overlooks. Theres actually a CLS and a another ferrari, a 360 down their too, i actually live in the Posh/rich area of the city, which is kinda nice, until you realise that i also share this space with another 2000+ students.

Remember, that freshers ball i went too, and that other imfamous party i went too on monday, well they where both held at a Venue call "Ikon", well here are two pictures i took when i went there last week, for the freshers ball, both of them where taken when the world famous Roll deep was on stage. They are crap shots, but hey my phone was like £60, takes nice pictures in day light.

I didn't take any on monday, however though my l33t skill i did obtain this one from a "commrad", use firewalls and anti-virus's please people...

Anyway on that note, talk to you all later, keep the action going in the comments it's nice to pop in their and watch mike defend my "honour" against all of you. Till another time, Мир(Peace in Russian, you know what i'm gonna say...)

41 year olds and 13 year olds don't mix

Hi people. Yesterday I went to court for the first time. I believe it was the crown court, cause they had barristers with wigs and such. Anyway the case that I sat in on was about a man who was accused of child molestation(I think). Although the stereotype is that these people are normally guilty I felt there was a wealth of facts, that backed up his case. Whether he was actually innocent or not that is for the jury to decide.

In other news I seem to be getting popular, I think I mentioned this already... Warez makes friends. My L33t skills and blu-ray have got me some prospective customers, so hopefully I should be building some nice PC's.

On the job front I'm still living the student life, so I'm poor and hungry, especially since I wanted to go to asda and get some stuff, but tonight I go to bed hungry. Please sir can have some more... But in reality I'm too lazy to go down stairs, and tesco's is closed now anyway.

Well I'm waiting for my phat loan from Tony to come though, until which time I'll just have dreams about my new T|X PDA, which will rock, not that I'm excited.

As for Friday night, I hope to go out(with someone) but some things never change, so certainly don't put your money on it happening.

I saw all the lovely comments from the last post. Normal, Hard core Geek Jon, still exists. I'm gonna start programming again :).

Also for all you Internet Explorer folks(aka people to lazy to get firefox) I'll try and fix the site again this weekend. Till another day take care, and I'm off to bed.

One in three girls thinks i have a nice ass...

I'm back at uni again, live on the dual G5. Gotta do some research for courses and the such. Hopefully my new gadget the Palm TX comes out today, so i should be able to obess myself with that along with a possible video ipod.

Also these apple keyboards have real nice tactile feedback, feels like typing on air, almost kinda solid too, anyway enough about tech.

I got an email from Bignall, which said "I heard you are becoming a party animal" I would like to confirm that, Yes i am becoming a party animal, just kidding; Not really. The people here like to have a good time, whether this be drinking to excess, smoking to excess, or partying to excess. I'm like a deer caught in the headlights, i either stay at home and supply water for my 100'000 citizens in Simcity 4, or i go out and watch as my friends get wasted on werid types of alcahol, which are green and about 35%. I'm not really a party animal by any stretch of the imagination. just got bored of getting killed by the Aztecs on Civiliation 3.

See i'm just as sad as i always was, Plus to anyone coming to university, "Warez" (google it) is a real nice way to make friends, works like a charm. Now if only i could figure a way to use Bit torrent up in here :(

If your wondering why jon has been geekin' out its mainly cause tech is the only the only thing thats keeping me sane, it's not "rough" so to speak at uni, but the environment does wear on you after while. Everyone i know here, i've only known for 3 weeks, although it seems much shorter, the time is really starting to fly. I've been to loads of schools in the past, but this is sightly different, we are all adults(almost :)), and we have developed physically and mentally. Kiss-chase is an entirely different concept, nowadays(past primary school that is) Social activities have changed so much compared to when i was a child, i have even come to the recognition that my child hood is offically over, sad but true.

So you must all be wondering whats the headline about. Well i went to that Pimp's and Hoes party and some random girl, grabbed my rear and complimented it. Personally i think she was very drunk(mainly cause she had pupils the size of a 2 pence peice) however i also like to think that she has good taste. So she was with some friends that stay quite quiet about the whole thing, hence the statement.

Well i got look at some case law now and stop projecting my opinions about a-z, on you nice well meaning, readingl, bored folk.

Either way don't worry about me, and work your asses off, you never know somebody might just like it :)

Did Apple Plan the Intel switch with the release of the G5?

A G5 Power Mac

Take look at the G5, it "conforms" to Intel's BTX specification. I never noticed this before but after spending some quality time with a Dual 1.8Ghz G5 at University today I noticed it. Steve Jobs did say OSX86 had been around since about 2001, so was the G5 chassis simply a Cross platform stepping stone. Will they sell upgrade kits so G5 owners can just switch "up" to intel boxes. We hear analysts say all the time that Apple is a Hardware company, well is the G5 their way of working their way into the tradition PC market?
G5's are fully upgrade, just like PC's. Sure the mounting holes are in different places, but anyone compared them to a BTX board? Plus, custom parts limits the suppliers to Apple only. The first Mac-Intel's, were in G5 "enclosures" was this just for convenience or was it the plan all along? Say what you will, but I think Apple had us "hood winked" for years while it made it's Huge switch. It saw Intel Ramping up speeds in it's chips, and thought hey that should be us.

A BTX PC

That classic phrase of a "3GHz Power Mac" seems to fit in perfectly to this conversation, Jobs always knew that Apple would have to change to survive. He would have made the change earlier but having only, a relatively short time before switched platforms, he couldn't do it again so soon, for fear that the company turn into a laughing stock.
The key topic on my lips at least, is will apple start selling parts Wholesale and allow users to build their own Mac? Cause I would take the trip, it would be joy. A choice of enclosures, and boards, and the rest is pretty much PC stuff. They could even employ a Licensing model(Like the "Made for Ipod" scheme) and pull in millions.
Discuss...

Thanks for Reading

Ward v Tesco, Yogurt can be dangerous to your health

First case, lady slips in a supermarket in 1976 and tries to sue Tesco's for damages, guess what folks, she loses. Lesson number 1 from your your favorite lawyer type guy, don't sue over yogurt, it's just not worth it
Anyways I got a Lecture at 11am so I'm chilling/washing till then. It's been a good week so far. Somebody keeps drinking my damn milk, it's very annoying. I to steal someone else this morning to eat my crunchy nut. Anyways I still haven't fixed the silly layout, I've only tried once since I've been fiddling with "Script Kiddy" tools and such, in a poor attempt to be L33T.
Anyway my mum, brother, and Tamara(Scott's girlfriend) are all coming up to see me this weekend so I gotta hide the cookies clean up. Check you all later.

You can't Roll Deep round here

Who's that N double E, just kidding folks. I just got back the freshers ball. Which was sick, I met Wiley of Roll Deep fame. I said I liked the album, which I did, I still wonder who ate who the pies. Anyways Roll Deep, as a group is a bit of a joke in my eyes, but hey that's a whole other conversation. If you wondering it's 3am, so I'm sync with the day. I haven't gotta go in tomorrow so that's fine.
I got pictures of the nights events, but if I'm honest I can't be bothered to post them tonight. Most people still haven't got back from the club "icon" which I almost got rejected by again, for the second time, but it wasn't that bad. I went back to Bambuubar with Fuad, and Billy before we went to the ball, however it wasn't has happening as the night before.
In traditional Jon fashion, I now have my eye on someone(here we go again). It's funny cause I didn't really warm to her the first time I saw her, but now(two days later) I like her a lot more. Shes one of the people I was talking too the day I stayed up till 8am. What I'm gonna do, I have no clue. I'll come up with something, but with unlimited time, no curfew, and no cash, I think I should be able to come with something good. Oh and she's like 20, ah just realized I already told you all her name, screw it, Chloe, Nice girl. We'll see.
That reminds me I got this stupid thing where I don't like girls the first time I meet them, and then give it two weeks and I'm into them, tongue out, the whole love slave crap, strange, and very sad.
I applied for some more jobs. Nothings come-though yet, but I'm confident something should happen soon. Well that's about it for today/tonight. Pictures and Chloe updates tomorrow, just remember, that like 4 other folks are gunning for her too. All three I know :), so it's time to get bitchy smart. Anyways till tomorrow take all, I'm out.

Oh and here are some new words and phases I use.

"I'm out"- I'm quitting
"That's Live"/"It's Live"- It's happening/exciting
"seventh"- that's where I live

Google me (again)

How it's going. After getting an hour and half of sleep yesterday morning, I went to lessons. I felt like crap, I then proceeded back to my room and slept for about 10 hours. I feel much better now. I plan to go out tonight, gonna wait to see what everyone else is getting down too, and then decide. Where ever we go we get about 10 + flyers from various clubs and bars inviting us to come and drop our cash at their establishment, with the promise of cheap drinks and "Good" music. So finding a night spot shouldn't be too hard.
If other news, when you google my name, guess which wonderfully coded website turns up at the top of the list, that's right people me. This is good and bad. Good cause as long as you spell my surname you can find me on the net. It's bad cause I can't say random crap about people cause all they have do is know my name. Oh well it should keep me in line, and make sure I don't do any drunk posts after rejecting some "chick", not that ever happens...
The freshers ball is on Monday and I've been told by my new friend John Legend(he looks like the artist, really) that Roll deep will be there, so I'll be making my way to "the avenue".
Weather down here is pants, overcast, and depressing, but I got the COD2 demo so I think I'll manage, I miss doing Head shots in COD on line but oh well.
Also one of my old friends from Stanley Tech(my school before ACS) David, who is somewhat of a genius(He single handedly moved our school up though the rankings over a couple of years), is moving down here, to go the studious uni, he should be coming on Sunday, so I'm looking forward to that, I haven't seen him in almost 3 years. So it should provide us with an interest list of catch up topics.
Lastly for all you fools visitors still using that spyware magnet otherwise known as Internet explorer, I'm gonna attempt to fix the page so the content actually lines up with the sidebar instead of at the bottom of the page. To think I almost did as a Job, thanks Microsoft.

Oh Trudi, stop reading now...
Phil you should have moved to halls, you're gonna miss out on a whole lot of parting(not that i condone the practice) by traving back and forth. Either way remember "you've got the magic stick", lol don't worry trudi i'm kidding about the last bit, but seriously i did tell you to stop.

I haven't slept in 21 hours

Morning people. The title speaks the truth, I haven't slept since about 9 am on September 28th. It's now 6.48am on September 29th. To say that university is a massive party is an understatement, This place is crazy. I got a lecture at 10 am so I have to stay awake for that, people that have done this kinda thing will understand why it's important not to go to sleep.
Today I applied for a couple job's, then went off to help Ashley get a bike, with our other new friend Marvin. After that we went and met Will and "Charlie"(I've been told that's not his real name but it's his nick name, I'll let you do the guess work.)Will has a PS2 and Pro Evo 4, so me and him should get along. After that we decided to go and watch the Champions League match, Chelsea vs Liverpool, when the abuse had ceased we headed to "Ikon" where we got rejected because we didn't a have a student card, which we haven't even been issued with yet. Oh I forgot to mention that its was raining, so we got a taxi back to our hall. After arriving there we got upstairs to find that almost everyone was out. After going to a crap party on the 5th floor I finally settled on a nice one on the ground floor. Marvin and Ashley, were "into" this girl called Chloe. She's ok, she's from basingstoke, nice person overall. Anyways we whittled away the time chatting crap, as we do. I got labeled Bernie Mac, cause everything I say is a joke, I was also accused of getting high of plain digestives; long story. Anyways we stayed with Chloe till about 6 and then decided to split, its been pretty mad. So I'm gonna try and roll with no sleep till this afternoon, lot's of coffee and crap, wish me luck, I don't want to snore in my lectures.

Till the next time, peace out...Sleep in

Nothing like Clean Codin'

Like it, if you can't see what I'm talking about, hit refresh. Do you like it now. Welcome to the fresh version of Russian Space Station. I wrote the code in it's entirety last night so if it's mess I'm sorry, but get firefox. I went for something that's easier to read to and shows off my l33t skills. So I hope you like. Thanks goes to a random site I found using google for the lovely photo of Mir the only original Russian Space Station.

Anyways on Monday I got in at 3am after going clubbing @ the Bambuubar, so I took it easy yesterday and had a night in. It was pretty wild and I have to say I enjoyed myself. I went with the londoners from the "7th" Ashley and Billy.
Today is relatively free, I'm not up to much so I'm gonna go Job hunting soon. Gotta make some cash if I wanna eat, That reminds me I need to eat breakfast I'm starving.

An old mate of mine from Secondary school, David contacted me yesterday to tell me that he's coming down here to go to the uni (Well Southampton University at least, there are two you know, Mine and this one). David was a little bit of genius, he's doing aeronautical engineering, which is what I wanted to do, till I discovered it involved heft sums, and as we all know Jon hates math. I think he also got around 300 points which means that he officially wins the "Who's smarter" contest. Clever guy, haven't seen him in years so it will be nice to catch up.

Party People

Morning folks, ok it's official I'm in the party block. My room, 730, is the last room in the entire block. The seventh floor is "reserved" for all the folks who applied late. It's 10 Lad's who like a party. We went out on the town last night, pissed as the usual students is, I didn't have as much as the rest of the 7's, however what really messed me up was a lazy decision to buy a burger from the local kebab shop. My stomach has since turned into a hurricane, I really feel like crap, been sick too all over a pair of jeans which got bin'd as a result, and yes I'm sure it was the burger.

In other news my block has the official Lucia foster Welch party floor, floor 5. They had a party for two nights in a row. Tonight the world famous Tim Westwood is coming to town, at a club we visited but didn't actually go in, cause we thought it was gonna be expensive, Walkabout.

Apart from the miniature storm in my stomach I've been good it's all home cooking for me from now, well almost. It's been a blast so far, I've even had a degree of success
with the opposite sex, yes Jon isn't gay, amazing. I wasn't really interested though especially as she's in my law class which begins in just over a hour.

Last night I went to bed at 3am Uni life has began, we/I don't know what we are gonna do tonight but I might go see Westwood, outside the club, sample the atmosphere, and then make my way out and back here. But the way I feel I might just stay here.

Here's where all the people in my hall are from
  • Cornwall x 1
  • London x2
  • Oxford x2
  • Manchester x1
  • Leeds x1

Right about 6 hours have passed sinced I finished the above paragraph. So I'm back after my induction day, we went to the library and stuff. As for tonight I plan to go with Ashley(Ash is from London) to go see Tottenham Vs Fulham, however I think he wants to go see Westwood, mainly to try and pick up chicks, that's what uni students do pick up chicks, seems easy enough.

Well I feel a little better now on the stomach front. Damien is gonna cook us dinner so I'm all for that especially as I was only gonna make crap(Beans and toast). Till tomorrow take care

Sunny Southampton

Howdy people from Sunny Southampton. I'm now on my own in my "lovely" room, it's a little on the small side but hey it's got nice view. I'm on the seventh floor aka the top one, it's good exercise but really wearing on your legs. I haven't met anyone really yet. It's not like I imagined, each floor is separated into groups of ten rooms, on my floor there are three groups. Only students who reside inside each section have access to that section. Each section has a kitchen, three toilets and three showers. We have a electionic key "fob" that gets us into the building, and our section, and a physical key for our actual rooms.
There's a whole big book about all the rules and stuff for living in halls, but according to a fairly reliable source we can do pretty much anything we like, including drugs, wild sex games, and parties, as long as we don't play music too loud or have fights, I think I'll be ok.
As for the net access, it's pretty fast but unfortunately no gaming for me. All ports are blocked apart from HTTP, FTP POP and a few other things. Now I didn't carry a TV cause I would of had to get a TV license, and we all know I'm a cheap skate, so that was never gonna happen. I might buy a PC TV card and hide it when the nice folk from TV licensing come round, but there's a TV in the kitchen and I got Digg so I'll be cool.

The town it's self is quite nice, my mum took me to this Chinese restaurant, across the street from where I'm living which was the nicest one I think I've ever been too. I can see St. Mary's Stadium from where I'm staying if I go to the end of the hall. It's to the right of where my window looks. In fact there's a ferrari 575 parked in the car park down there! The cranes you can see are the actual port of Southampton.
On a sligthly sad not I just thought about my Grandfather who always said he wanted to see me make something of myself, and reach all the lofty goals that I used to set for myself, sadly he's not alive to see me go to University, makes you wanna ensure that you enjoy every last waking moment that you have on earth.
On a final note, Jon's got a Job, sort of. I now a reviewer and writer for Sudhian Media. It's a long story how I got the job, but I'm currently working on my first piece and hopefully it will be well accepted. Check out there site, there pretty jazz'd to have me writing for them, I'm happy to work so it should work well.

Oh and now that I'm around people again expect quote of the day to make a big time come back, which should be nice. The countdown to graduation should really go up now

Quick update

I won't be posting much this week as i have to put everything in place for my trip down to the southcoast.(Not that i've posted that much anyway). I should pop into school tomorrow to "sign off" before i head out good and proper. When i do actually get gone, i use that thing people call MSN, so you guys can find out whether southampton is hot or not. Beyond that this is pretty much it, till saturday afternoon(or prehaps sunday morning). when i'll dump a mega post on whats happening. I'll started packing my assorted crap up, i might put a few things on offer for free, eg. a pair of hifi stereo speakers(don't ask), a broken playstation 2 etc.
Well until another time check ya later

I've done it!!

Ok folks after almost 10 hours of pain, i finally did it.

The pictures a little blured but hey i'm running an underground OS, who cares. I would explain the lengths that i had to go to actually pull this off but it wasn't nice and it has actually taken me almost 5 hours to do, but man is nice, just in case anyone thinks it's fake...

So this makes me a L33T underground hacker right? No not quite, but i did go wardriving and found about 600 wifi networks in central london. Anyways as this isn't a technology blog i'll back away from it now :(
10 Days left... I got most things sorted, bar a place to live, nothing like living on the edge. Otherwise i'm good Got my new HDD(couldn't resist) Well i'm gonna go play with OSX cya all later.

Sooo Tired

Well i'm back from Jason's Party/pub crawl. It was pretty wild, but i certainly had fun. The only reason i'm still up is cause i just ate.
Anyway's my lovely copy of OSX86 is almost here, 98% i can almost taste the aqua... Anyhow i was considering trying out the Vista beta too while i'm try out beta's.
After visting 4 pubs and opting out of "Lava" i walked home, my legs are still aching, and i really want to sleep but i feel to full to go to bed just yet, it's gonna be fun tomorrow cause i gotta go to church at like about 8.
Well i feel sleeply now so i'll post again tomorrow

Dead blog

I'm gonna try and beathe some life into my dead blog, mainly by posting. I went to into school today to see the folks, it was nice to see everyone again, been really boring here at home by myself. I might actually go on msn! Anyways, it was strange being in the common room knowing that I had no real purpose to actually be there. But one thing that has struck me was ... The reaction of a certain "person". When she saw me she look like the big orange guy from the tango ad's had slapped her in the face and ran off. Plus she behaved like she scared of me like I was gonna do something crazy any minute. I'm not sure why she was acting like that, I certainly wasn't planning on jumping on her and licking her face like a kitten on speed. Talking about Kitten's Jade's got a really cute one(kitten that is!), it's got nice eyes and is real friendly, pity it would eventually kill me.

Anyway I got a little present on Tuesday, which has partially been why I haven't been around...

Dreamy...Before you start getting jealous, the Laptop's aren't mine :(. My mum good a new one(one on the right) to replace her old one which is slow, and has a cracked lid and can't close, anyway it's going on ebay later today, I'll miss it sorta, done so much to it to keep it running, but at least I won't get moaned at when stuff goes south, a relief after 4 years.

While I'm on hardware I'm in the process of downloading OSX86, the x86 version of Apple's OS X, to test out on the new laptop. After two days of continuous downloading it's only at 13% of the total 1.28GB. I estimate another week should do it. Plus I'm finally gonna get Blu-ray sorted, I've ordered a 160GB Western Digital HDD with I'm in love with before I've even got it. Doesn't come till next week so I'll have to live with 2GB of free space till then.(In case your wondering the OSX is coming down onto a different PC).

Anyway if my "l33t" idea works, concerning OSX86 I'll post up a screen shot, and maybe even a video... Anyways it's only two weeks now till I jet off. I was thinking of having a little leaving get together if your interested post in the comments.

As for Mr. Kanye, I plan to make the line "George Bush doesn't care about Black people" my ringtone, should make a good conversation starter on the southcoast, Holla... Also the person who commented on Mr. West's quote, thank you for being reasonable in your comment however I tend to agree with Kanye, and it's not cause we'll "brothers" however I believe the situation in "Nawins" is a result of underfunding(defenses), ignorance(People and authorities), Iraq(national guard), and a pinch of good ol' fashioned racism. People who know me know I'm not Malcom X half the time, but when something isn't right, it isn't right -{End rant.}

Well till another time take care folks, keep safe and in the words of jerry "Take care of yourselves, and each other"

Playstation Controller Symbols Have Meaning in Japan

When Japanese authors are appraising the merits of different objects, they often use geometric symbols like circles and triangles that look like the buttons on a Playstation. The meanings of these symbols are common knowledge in Japan, in much the same way that everyone in the West knows that a tick means "correct" and a cross means "incorrect".

Keeping my promises

A new day, Another week, Yet another fantastic episode of Twit.

As promised the Holiday photo Album

Anyways we played football today. Sort of, cause it was really hot and we especially me didn't really feel like playing at any sort of level. Afterwards myself and the legend that is Phil rode around with Anna and Hannah (any guesses as to why they are friends), in her Ka. I then attempted to apply my genius to fixing our COD server, which failed, so I'll have to stock up and try again.
So after my clear lack of fitness while we were playing today I've decided I gotta do a little something about my overall state of health, which is ok, much better than 2 years ago, but could still be better. Thanks to this helpful chart, I've worked out I'm about a stone overweight at the worst which isn't that bad considering I was 3-4 not that long ago. So how do I plan to fix this, well not eating as much chocolate might be a start, but hey everyone needs a release.

Anyways enjoy the album, it's runnin' of my home based apache server, so if it's off I apologise.

If you know what the words TCP/IP mean read on other wise skip this paragraph. Please don't hack my server all you net geeks, I'm aware it would be as easy as piss, but I got work to do and a down server would really piss me off before I jet out of here to south coast.

The ranting's of a mad man

While looking for an old link in my site's archives I discovered that I indeed live up to my site's title. "So full of crap I decided to share it with the world". Nice to know I do what I say on the tin.
anyways spread amongst the hundred+ posts I discovered numerous references to the "D quest". I thought I should clarify. D stood for date, therefore date quest, simplified the quest for a date. If you can't work out with who you could be considered somewhat stupid. Anyways I've lost interest in that endeavors slightly mainly cause I seem to be quite crap it.
So I got six weeks left and I think I cut and paste write a little program to count down to the date I leave for university and put it on my site. I've been busy trying to become a top coder, by learning Python, after I'm finished with that I'll move on to Java script, and then I might dabble in Ajax. Why you ask, well it's either this or build a model of a AH-64 Apache that I've had down stairs for a year, and walked 6 miles to get.
Back to the title, I don't know how you folks put up with my almost daily rantings he rants personally I think I would of put the site on my block list, just so I could subscribe via RSS. As the non tech minded around you might have noticed, a lot of tech talk today, it's cause I'm in a programming mood, and I've been listening to MC Plus+'s "Have to Code".
The whole University thing has kinda bit me in the posterior, I was sorta focused on staying at home, and now I'm gonna be living on my own, a hundred miles away for 3 years. So might say I'm loser for even thing about it that way, but when you consider I've already lived away from my family for 6 years, sympathy will hopefully kick in. But hey I got four weeks left so I best enjoy it I guess.
Oh the holiday gallery should be here soon, I finally configured the "package" that I need to use called Album, so I'll be kicking that out as soon as I can be bothered. But right now I think I'll go and play that 1 year old game that I love so much, Pro Evo 4.
Finally in closing, I feel real old, and slightly bored, but hey. I'll just listen to my new anthem "Computer science for life" by the number 1 CSG(computer science gangster) rapper, MC Plus +.

Southampton it is!

Ok folks. Looks like I'm off to Southampton. Spent most of the day sorting out fees, loans, courses, confirmation, etc. So it looks like I'll be moving away to the south coast. I'll be doing a Law Degree and should graduate in 2007. However I won't be going anywhere till October so I'll nothing to do until then, I might try and get a job, just so I can write a letter of resignation and say I quit when I ask for 3 years off.

Imagine I might have a little leaving party, maybe. Anyways that's what I've done to day. I'm not sure if I'll live in halls yet, but considering that I could have my own studio flat for almost the same price, I'm still thinking about it.

To clarify for anyone I'm going to Southampton Solent University not the University of Southampton. There like across the road from each other, but still different institutions.

Other than Uni news here's my funniest holiday photo.

Also while I was there I decide to try out a good old fashioned Kinder surprise. However I was actually surprised for once. The egg is separated in two, both separated by plastic film. In one is a very soft chocolate(spread like) thing with two chocolate balls spheres. In the other half is the toy. Which in this case was a sliding thing with a picture that went from colour to black and white, I rate it as 2/10!

This I believe it is the biggest Church in Malta, it's not on Gozo itself, but the main island of Malta. When I was there they were in the middle of their big annual religious celebration. There were fireworks and marches and such

Finally we went out to "celebrate" our results which was good. I only had a single pint, and we laughed our heads off mainly about Vicky's future. We kinda thought porn star/producer, some titles that we came up with were
  • Vicky does Vegas
  • Vicky's Vids

Anyways I informed everyone of what a Rainbow party. I also accidentally found myself in the middle of a "How to give good H..." Conversation, I'll say no more, Drink and conversations about sex seem to go hand in hand.

Anyways it was a good night, till the next post take care and I'll cya round.

So the results are in

Ok, well there not the most amazing things in the world, but hey that's life. My Mum's a little disappointed but hopefully she'll get over it. Anyways here's what I got.

ICT E
English Literature D
General Studies E
Psychology D
Physics U
History -

So I'm sure loads of people did better than me, so well done to them. At the minute I'm in the midst of sorting out my future. My first choice Hertfordshire, required 200 points, as I got 130 I'm not going there :( My insurance choice, Southampton only required 100 points; However I don't really wanna leave my mum at home alone cause I like being cared for. So I might have to go though clearing to find a course closer to home. Herts has offered me an alternative course which is like a the uni version of general studies. I'm not to keen on it but we'll see. The way I see it, if I'm gonna get my self a degree I at least want a degree and not just a diploma.

So we'll all meeting up tonight, but till then I got gotta focus on finding courses which is tiring, I was gonna go to Luton for all of 15 minutes till I found out they wanted 2 A levels, which I happen to not have :( So if I move to Southampton this blog might become pretty much the only way of contact between me and the world yeah right!

Another selection from the photo album, It's a church, there's something like 360+ of them in Malta

I won't say who I got this from my alter ego but this is why too much drink is a bad thing.
